With over 300 units in stock, SGE maintains one of the largest inventories of glass lined vessels in the United States. All SGE vessels go through an extensive evaluation prior to sale to chemical processing facilities. Vessels are spark tested, glass-mapped, and detailed reports are created and sent to the customer with every vessel we sell. SGE is not a used glass lined reactor equipment company. Checks & Pre-Shipment Procedures of Reactors

SGE inventories glasslined reactor systems from 5 gallons to 8,000 gallons. The primary difference between Southern Glasslined Equipment, Inc. and most used equipment dealers is attention to detail and level of expertise in the glass lined chemical processing equipment industry. Our chemical processing equipment, including glass lined biodiesel reactors, go to both large and small facilities.

Every glass lined chemical / biodiesel reactor that SGE sells goes through the following checks and procedures prior to shipment to the chemical processing facility:

• Vessel is completely disassembled
• Gearbox is rebuilt:
  — gearbox seals replaced
  — shims replaced
  — all bearings replaced
  — bronze and worm gear are inspected and graded
  — sight glass is replaced
  — breather caps are replaced
  — all bolts are replaced
  — inside of gearbox is sandblasted and re-primered
  — gearbox shell is inspected and painted with 2 coats of severe duty epoxy paint
• Gearbox is test ran for 24 hours under load
• Mechanical seals are pressure tested
• Motor and helical gears are inspected
• All J-bolts and split flanges are sand blasted and repainted with severe duty epoxy paint
• Covers, manways, agitator, baffle, and reactor body are spark tested and glass-mapped
• Nozzles are closely inspected for dings or chips
• All gaskets are replaced
• Jacket is hydro tested and a UT test is performed to assure that steel thickness is adequate
• Jacket is flushed
• All jacket connections are inspected and re-tapped
• Upon re-assembly vessel is painted with epoxy paint to give a finished, professional appearance

All of these services are provided to you at prices that are comparable to what other companies offer untested chemical biodiesel reactors for. Remember, if a company says they have a used glasslined biodiesel reactor that looks pretty good but it has not been fully inspected, disassembled, reconditioned and tested by professionals, they are just guessing as to the condition and future performance of the equipment.
