Reglassing Covers

We designed teflon outside repair sleeves to fit equipment from all major glasslined equipment suppliers. We use a higher grade teflon with glass beads to fill microscopic holes to reduce or elminate permeation. The sleeves are manufactured with grooves on the flange to reduce gasket slip on the flange face.

These sleeves are supplied with 2 O-rings and 3 chevrons to ensure the process remains isolated from exposed carbon steel in the nozzle neck or flange face.

Benefits:

  • PTFE with 25% glass for higher chemical resistance
  • 450F (232C) Temperature limit
  • Minimum cure
  • Fits all ANSI standard glasslined equipment nozzles
  • Introductory sizes 2"-18"
  • Fast Economical and effective repair on glasslined equipment nozzle flanges or damage within the neck.

All sleeve kits include:

Reglass 14" x 18" or 18" Manway cover:         $1,125.00

All reglassed covers are warranted for a period of 12 months from date of installation or 18 months from ship date.

All covers are sandblasted to white steel. The steel is checked for flaws and defects.  All manway hinges are checked or replaced.

2 coats of ground coat glass are applied followed by 4-5 applications of cover coat to build glass thickness to 55-60 mils.

Each cover is spark tested at 20k volts.

Cover flatness is recorded during inspection, our flatness requirements are to meet or exceed the toughest standards in the world for flange flatness. This cover passed a 3mm flatness test.

A final inspection report is prepared with glass thickness results. A copy of a completed inspection report is available upon request.
